Uses and scope
Anusvara participates in Indic nasal notation, with interpretation governed by the language and context. The Unicode Devanagari description is the scope of this page. Other scripts have their own anusvara characters; sharing a traditional name does not give them one universal code point. [6]
Similar shapes, different characters
Candrabindu U+0901 is a separate sign. A full stop, a generic dot above or a dot drawn with formatting is not an equivalent encoding. The sign follows its base in logical storage. The isolated tile adds a dotted circle for visibility, but copying returns only U+0902. [1], [2], [6]
