Spelling and status

The Slovenian Academy research centre's gazetteer sets out the 25-letter alphabet. Its scope is useful for spelling and geographical names. This copy collection concentrates on its three marked letters rather than importing all the distinctive letters of neighbouring languages. [36], [9]

Distinctions to preserve

Croatian ć and đ are not members of that regular Slovenian alphabet, even though foreign names may contain them. Do not confuse a caron with a breve or circumflex. Unicode normalization can relate č to c plus a caron, but it does not turn it into plain c. [36], [9], [1], [2]

Searchable character table

The collection contains the distinctive letters and marked forms discussed here, with both cases where applicable. It is a focused copying reference, not the complete alphabet. [36], [9], [9], [1]
